The Municipality of Saida informs residents, restaurant owners, commercial establishments, and all concerned entities operating within the municipal boundaries that the specialized technical teams are preparing to carry out the second phase of the pesticide spraying and thermal fogging campaign to combat mosquitoes and other insects, according to the following schedule:Wednesday, August 5, 2026 – at 6:00 PMThursday, August 6, 2026 – at 6:00 PMFriday, August 7, 2026 – at 6:00 PMThe Municipality draws the attention of residents and commercial establishments to the fact that 6:00 PM was selected for the campaign based on technical data and studies, as mosquito activity and density are at their highest during this period. This timing helps ensure the maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the control measures.To protect public health and safety, the Municipality of Saida urges citizens, business owners, and restaurants to observe the following preventive and precautionary measures throughout the spraying period:Protect food: Cover and protect all food products, meals, and beverages, or store them safely in securely closed areas.Close openings: Keep windows, doors, and glass storefronts tightly closed while spraying and fogging vehicles and teams are passing through the streets.Protect children and animals: Keep children and pets away from balconies and treatment areas until the spraying operations are completed and the fog has dispersed.The Municipality of Saida apologizes in advance to residents for any temporary inconvenience that may result from this necessary operation and extends its sincere thanks to all citizens and business owners for their cooperation and adherence to these guidelines, contributing to the success of the campaign and to safeguarding the city’s public health and environmental safety.
