The Health Committee of Sidon Municipality, headed by Dr. Taysir Al-Zaatari, launched its second round of food safety campaigns, covering all neighborhoods and streets of the city in successive phases. The second round included the commercial market and Riyad Al-Solh Street, where a field survey was conducted for all establishments dealing with various food products in the mentioned areas; including supermarkets, butcher shops, poultry and fish stores, bakeries, ovens, flour and food warehouses, cafes, restaurants, and more. The volunteer team in the Health Committee – Food Safety emphasized during their tour the importance of raising the health, environmental, and tourism standards of all establishments by distributing informative brochures prepared by the team. These brochures cover general safety requirements, administrative and legal conditions, and detailed food safety standards. The volunteer teams are expected to return for follow-up visits to evaluate the new status of these establishments after the deadlines given to correct any issues. The Health Committee in Sidon Municipality thanks its specialized volunteer team of young men and women from the city for their remarkable dedication, high professionalism in performance, observation, and follow-up, which reflects the spirit of cooperative and voluntary work and strengthens it.
