Hijazi Receives a Delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Discuss Cooperation as Part of Preparations for “Sidon, Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2027”

Sidon Mayor Engineer Mustafa Hegazi received representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants at the municipal building. The delegation included Ambassador Rana Al-Muqaddam, Director of Economic Affairs at the Ministry, and Marwan Francis, Advisor at the Directorate of Economic Affairs. Also attending the meeting were Hisham Jradi, Head of the Education and Culture Committee at the Municipality of Sidon, and Wafaa Choueib, Advisor to the Mayor.
The meeting was held as part of the ongoing preparations for the “Sidon, Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2027” event. Discussions focused on ways of cooperation and the support that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs could provide to support and ensure the success of this prominent cultural and international event. This included coordinating diplomatic communications and arranging official meetings with the Lebanese Ambassador in Madrid to support joint activities and events; providing the necessary facilities by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the issuance and facilitation of visas for participating individuals, delegations, and businesspeople; coordinating the organization of Lebanese exhibitions and events in the Spanish city of Córdoba and strengthening economic and cultural exchange between the two cities; and making use of all available cooperation frameworks within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support activities and projects related to Sidon as the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue.
